Keto Coaching With TK

My name is Tasha Kinney, I have been on this amazing Ketogenic journey for 3 years.  Along my journey I was able to heal my body from the inside out.  I started my journey not knowing how and what I was doing.  I like to say that keto found me and I have never looked back.  Over the years I went through numerous trial and error meals and planning.  Once I learned what the ketogenic lifestyle can do for women I dived into making this a lifestyle for myself.  I have learned the science behind macros and how my numbers created a fat burning machine. Please note that this is a lifestyle and I had to commit to it 100%.

Going through years of infertility I was able to regulate my hormones and gave birth to my ketosis baby.  I struggled with being anxious and disappointing test results each month.  But little did I know that the Ketogenic Lifestyle could help women with PCOS and fertility.  There are so many benefits of this lifestyle for women and men.  We have spent so much time trying to medically "fix" ourselves but lets not think of this as a quick fix.  Let's change our mindset to "healing ourselves from the inside out" on this lifestyle.

I started this site to help motivate and educate others about the importance of following your passions and getting the results you want.  I wake up early, creating resources for all of my clients and members.  I'm no different than you, any success I've experienced this far is attainable from anybody willing to put in the work.  We live in an era where everything is automatic, everything is superficial, and everything is expected for nothing.  That life does not create greatness, it destroys it.  This site will empower those who crave intensity, dedication, discipline, hard work, and sacrifice.

I strive to help all of my clients who are ready to make a lifestyle change.  Creating new habits, mindset changes and understanding your why is most important to me.

This lifestyle HEALS FROM THE INSIDE OUT.

WHAT IS THE KETOGENIC DIET

The ketogenic diet is a high fat, moderate protein, low carbohydrate eating pattern, which differs from general, healthful eating recommendations. Many nutrient-rich foods are sources of carbohydrates, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, milk and yogurt. On a keto diet, carbs from all sources are severely restricted. With the goal of keeping carbs below 50 grams per day, keto dieters often consume no breads, grains or cereals. And, even fruits and vegetables are limited because they, too, contain carbs. For most people, the keto diet requires making big shifts in how they usually eat.

A “keto” or “ketogenic” diet is so named because it causes your body to produce small fuel molecules called “ketones.”   This is an alternative fuel source for your body that can be used when blood sugar (glucose) is in short supply.  When you eat very few carbs or very few calories, your liver produces ketones from fat. These ketones then serve as a fuel source throughout the body, especially for the brain.

The brain is a hungry organ that consumes lots of energy every day, and it can’t run on fat directly. It can only run on glucose – or ketones.  On a ketogenic diet, your entire body switches its fuel supply to run mostly on fat, burning fat all day long. When insulin levels drop very low, fat burning can increase dramatically. It becomes easier to access your fat stores to burn them off.

This is great if you’re trying to lose weight, but there can also be other benefits, such as less hunger and a steady supply of energy — without the sugar peaks and valleys that often occur when eating high-carb meals. This may help keep you alert and focused.

When the body produces ketones, it enters a metabolic state called ketosis. The fastest way to get there is by fasting – not eating anything – but nobody can consistently fast forever.

A keto diet, on the other hand, also results in ketosis and can be eaten indefinitely. It has many of the benefits of fasting – including weight loss – without having to fast long term.

Health  Benefits From the Ketogenic Lifestyle

The ketogenic diet and diabetes

The ketogenic diet severely restricts carbohydrates. It forces the body to break down fats for energy. The process of using fat for energy is called ketosis. It produces a fuel source called ketones.

A ketogenic diet may help some people with type 2 diabetes because it allows the body to maintain glucose levels at a low but healthy level.

The lower intake of carbohydrates in the diet can help to eliminate large spikes in blood sugar, reducing the need for insulin.

Studies on ketogenic diets, including research from 2018, have found that they can be helpful in controlling levels of HbA1c. This refers to the amount of glucose traveling with hemoglobin in the blood over about 3 months.

Benefits

The ketogenic diet can lead to a variety of other benefits including:

  • lower blood pressure

  • improved insulin sensitivity

  • reduced dependency on medication

  • improvements in high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or “good” cholesterol, without adding to low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or “bad” cholesterol

  • a drop in insulin
